Crotons are one of the most beautiful houseplants, and their vibrant foliage makes them easy to spot. Crotons are great for bringing a tropical flair to interior design since they are brightly marked with vivid yellow, orange, red, and even black. They're especially striking in bright dining rooms and living rooms, where the greenery helps to enliven the space.
- Light - Crotons should be grown in a bright place since they require a lot of light to develop their vibrant leaves. If you don't give your croton adequate light, it will grow tall and lanky, with few leaves that don't have deep, rich colors. Both natural and artificial light are healthy for the plant.
- Water - When the top couple of inches of the potting mix starts to dry up, water the plant. They don't require as much water as other typical houseplants (such as peace lily, fittonia, or polka dot plant), but they do need to be watered on a regular basis.

Humidity - Crotons appreciate a generous amount of humidity. You can boost the humidity by misting the leaves, placing a humidifier nearby, or adding a pebble tray.
Tips: Don’t panic if your plant drops a few leaves upon arrival. Generally, the Croton does not like to be moved, so a few falling leaves within a week doesn’t mean you are doing anything wrong.
