The Ficus Nana originated from Southern China, Indian subcontinent, through out Asia, Australia and the Pacific Islands. It has Medicinal benefits such as treating wounds, headache and toothache. The bark and leaf latex are taken internally. While the steam from the boiling leaves is used for perspiration. It's a tiny tabletop plant with glossy deep green leaves that are spherical. It is capable of bearing fruits at a later stage, despite its rarity.

- Light - When placed indoors, ensure that it gets plenty of light throughout the day. It thrives in direct sunlight.
- Water - Except when young, this ficus species is a low-maintenance shrub that does not require frequent watering. During the summer, water two to three times each week until the plant is mature.
- Humidity - The ficus is a tropical plant and thrives in warm, humid locations.
Tips: Make sure soil is just moist, not dry or drenched, at all times, but cut back waterings in the winter. Your plant will likely lose leaves during the winter "dry" spell.
